Manchester United Foundation
‘Brentwood School and Community College have been a partner with the Manchester United Foundation for six academic years. This partnership involves a trained SEND Officer from the Foundation based at Brentwood School and Community College and will work alongside the staff to develop new skills and opportunities for the young people to access.
The SEND Officer provides a wide range of curriculum delivery that enhances our young people’s physical and mental well-being. Students across Schools and College benefit from the following, which is delivered by the SEND Officer:
- Community Links (Access Sport, South Trafford College, Sale West Community Centre)
- Rebound Therapy
- Splash Sessions
- 1:1 mentoring
- Behaviour support work
- Inclusive football
- PE Curriculum
- Multi-Sports events
- Extra-curricular sessions – Lunchtime and after-school clubs
- Sensory regulation sessions
- SCORT Trip
The safety and welfare of all participants are paramount to ensuring the planned activities can be delivered in the most appropriate way for the children to access. To do this, we provide the Manchester United Foundation with basic information about each pupil taking part.
This includes the student’s name, date of birth, postcode, gender, ethnicity, and basic details of their special educational needs to ensure that the correct provision is made to enable all children to participate in the activities on offer. We may also provide emergency contact details if required.’
