Governor Recruitment

We are always interested to hear from people who would like to become a governor at Brentwood College.

No previous experience of governance is required and we welcome individuals with a keen interest in improving the education, opportunities and experiences of young adults with special educational needs.

Governors work in partnership with other members of the Board and senior leaders to provide strategic guidance, oversee key priorities and ensure strong financial governance. Experience in areas such as finance is particularly valuable, though not essential.

Why join us?
This is a rewarding voluntary role where you can make a significant difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

As a governor, you will play a key part in shaping the future direction of the college while gaining valuable experience in strategic governance.

Governors are required to undertake safeguarding checks, attend the college at least three times a year as a minimum, and commit to ongoing training and learning.
